OUR HISTORY

Benoit has made a name for himself when it comes to food ingredients and customized solutions for the health and wellness, sports nutrition and functional food industries. Born in Normandy, France, on a dairy farm, Benoit has a Masters Degree in Food Science from… wait for it…  L’Ecole Nationale Superieure d”Agronomie et des Industries Alimentaires (PHEW! Let’s just say ENSAIA for short), in Nancy, France. 

He moved to the US in 1988 to start his career with Lactalis (operations, R&D and QA) in specialty cheesemaking. He then moved into Technical Sales for the same company, and later for other dairy protein ingredient manufacturers.  

Along with his expertise in technical sales, he has always had a creative, scientific mind. His clients turn to him for quality ingredients, for customized solutions, problem solving, and to assist them in getting from the initial concept stage to a finished, highly marketable product. But let’s not forget as a 35 year veteran in technical sales, he also leads his clients to the right customers. 

Benoit partners with trusted contacts and quality companies around the world to assist clients in the creation, distribution and sales of  innovative, unique product lines.

He chose the name Valecor for his own consulting firm by combining two Latin words that describe his values very well: Vale, from the word Valor, means Value, and the word Cor means heart. That is  what Benoit focuses on: value from the heart. 

Being multilingual (French, English, Spanish and some German) and having that non-stop creative mind, he has freed himself from corporate constraint for two principle reasons:

Firstly,  to be able to work with quality partners and distributors who he himself hand picks and trusts.

 Secondly, to better listen to the needs of his customers and spend the time needed to find the specific, customized solutions that they are searching for. 

His focus is on quality, and sustainability when resourcing for his clients’ short-term, midterm  and long term goals.

BENOIT TURPIN

Born in France, with a Master’s degree from one of France’s renowned Grandes Ecoles,  you can expect knowledgeable, high-paced service from 35 years  experience in this industry. But… he doesn’t forget to slow down and enjoy what he does!  You’ll find him traveling to many parts of the world to source ingredients for both import and export, as well as a good bottle of bubbly to bring home. 

BRIDGET TURPIN

Wife and business partner to Benoit, she takes care of most of the back office: Everything from arranging travel plans (her favorite job), to bookkeeping (her least favorite job!)  But Project Management is where she spends most of her time, making sure shipments from manufactures to customers are smooth sailing. She is also amazzzing at marketing. Just sayin’. 

THE TEAM

Depending on the day and season, customer service may come from one or another of these lovely ladies. Growing up in an entrepreneurial household, our adult children are part of our business in a variety of ways. (Yes, there are more siblings!… give them a few years. Agnes wants her picture on here, too.)
